Naturally divided terrain
Copper Mountain has 126km of skiing on three mountains, and an average yearly snowfall of almost 8 metres. The ski resort is popular for its naturally divided terrain, with one section more suitable for beginners, another for intermediates and another for experts.
This is a great place for first-time skiers and snowboarders as beginners ski free on the Easy Rider Magic Carpet. Most of the slopes in the main part of the mountain are green and blue, making Copper Mountain the perfect ski resort for building confidence. The Spaulding Bowl and the Copper Bowl offer steep chutes followed by challenging runs through the trees for expert freeriders, and at Tucker Mountain you can take free snowcat rides to magnificent in-bounds but off-piste terrain. This is a good resort for snowboarders, as there are few flat bits. Freestylers can try out their skills in the snow parks.
