Big Sky Resort in short
-
One of America’s biggest ski areas
-
Ski area spread across 4 mountains
-
Fall-line skiing
Big Sky is recognisable by Lone Peak, which towers over the rest of the ski area, challenging expert skiers to tackle its lofty heights. Off the Lone Peak aerial tram you’ll find some fantastic steep skiing, double-black diamond after double-black diamond chute in a powder bowl that dreams are made of. If jumps are more your speed, Big Sky has a whopping 8 snow parks where freestylers can practise their skills.
Beginners and intermediates, don’t fear, there is also a satisfying selection of blue and green runs through the trees at Big Sky. Meanwhile, rare for North America, the Powder Seeker lift features heated seats and bubble covers. Thanks to its size, Big Sky rarely has big queues at the lifts - in fact, it boasts “two acres per skier.” Ski season runs from November til April.
