Grand Hotel & Kurhaus

The Kurhaus Hotel is located above the ski resort of Arolla at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level. It is set in the magnificent forest of Arolle pines. The building itself dates back to 1896 but the interior was completely renovated in 1979 with all the necessary modern comforts. The rooms are nicely decorated using wood from local trees : Arolle and Meleze from the old beams that were recovered during the renovation. The large terrace is an ideal place to relax at any time of the day. The views of the surrounding peaks of the Pigne d'Arolla, Mont-Collon, Aiguille de la Tza and the Dents de Veisivi are wonderful. Access to the hotel is via a private road so there is no traffic noise at all. Walking trails through the forest allow you to discover the constantly changing landscape. A small lake, centuries-old Arolles trees, many wild flowers (rhododendrons, gentianes, anemones among others...) will delight nature lovers. The hotel is located at the starting point of many walks and paths that lead up to the alpine huts. The ski slopes and lifts can be accessed directly from the hotel, so you can ski to and from the hotel as you please. In addition to the usual facilities, the hotel includes a large conference room that can be used for seminars, congresses, weddings, anniversaries and other festivities in this magnificent setting.
