-
Glacier skiing
-
Excellent snow conditions
-
Plenty of facilities for children
What Belalp is most famous for is its unique location on the world heritage site of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps. The ski resort of Belalp has everything a ski resort should have. Steep black slopes, wide blue runs and everything in between in a well organised ski area totalling over 120km of skiing. Add to this, excellent snow conditions (thanks to the high altitude) and plenty of facilities for children and you understand why this ski area is becoming so popular in recent years.
A vertical drop of 1700 meters, a ski tunnel, stunning views of the Aletsch Glacier, are just some highlights of this wonderful ski area. Advanced skiers will find challenging runs on the right flanks of the Hohstock and Sparhorngrat while less experienced skiers will feel more at home on the Schönbiel. Belalp skiers find everything their heart desires and cannot resist coming back year after year.
