The Spanish ski resort of Formigal is part of the Aramon ski area and is situated close to the French border. It lies in the northeast of Spain, in the Aragon Pyrenees, at an altitude of 1510 meters above sea level. Formigal is located near the city of Huesca and the traditional village of Sallent de Gallego which is a great place to visit for a more Spanish feel.
Formigal is a lively ski resort in the Spanish Pyrenees with around 30 bars and restaurants and some fun apres-ski events. There is one nightclub - the Keeper Formigal. The free ski bus service takes you to the ski area of Formigal in only 10 minutes. In Formigal, you will never get bored as the resort has plenty of alternative activities to skiing such as dog sledding, tubing and snow biking. Many of the hotels here have spa facilities so you can relax after a day of skiing on the wonderful slopes in the Formigal ski area. There are many facilities for children of all ages including a nursery for very young children. The ski resort of Formigal itself consists is purpose built and consists mainly of chalets and ski accommodation but also has a beautiful Romanesque church worth visiting. From the resort you have a wonderful panoramic views over the valley.
