Uncrowded slopes
Built in 2002, Myrkdalen is lively and modern, a true ski-in, ski-out town. High-end chalets deliver you straight to the pistes in the morning. Myrkdalen has its own slopes but also shares a lift ticket with nearby Voss. The mountain is snow-sure and snow cannons are only necessary on the valley runs. You’ll never have to deal with crowds at Myrkdalen, as it’s almost always calm and peaceful.
Myrkdalen is popular with a wide array of winter sport enthusiasts, from families to off-piste fans to anybody who just wants to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The children’s area is easy to access, located next to the pistes by the Myrkdalsstovo Café. Myrkdalen also offers weekly children’s activities. Experienced skiers will be in heaven with the endless off-piste terrain. Myrkdalen itself has around 28km of pistes, and anybody looking for a wider offering can ski with the same pass at the neighbouring resort of Voss, which is located some 20km away and has 55km of pistes. On rainy days, check out the indoor wind tunnel in Voss!
