Sogndal in short

  • Height: 105 metres
  • Historical village centre
  • Lovely restaurants
  • Good nightlife

Situated on the Sognefjord, the Norwegian village of Sogndal is full of historical churches dating back to the Middle Ages which lend a rustic character to the town. There have even been traces of the Vikings found in these ancient churches! Somewhat surprisingly, Sogndal is also known for its fruit, in particular apples, which can be seen growing throughout the village.

Sogndal is the ideal place to grab a drink or a bite to eat after skiing - choose from traditional Norwegian or international cuisine in the many restaurants. The nightlife is also not too shabyy - let it all out at Lægreids Pub or one of the other bars. The ski area of Sognefjord is nearby and offers 15km of pistes.
