Gålå is an exciting winter sports destination that attracts a variety of people. Some come here for the cross-country skiing in the winter landscapes, while others prefer freeskiing through the powder snow or snowboarding in the snow parks. Gålå and the accompanying Peer Gynt ski area offer something for everybody, from 5 star hotels to traditional huts, from snow rafting to telemarking.
The ski area at Gålå is spread out over both sides of the valley. The broad slopes are ideal for beginners and children, and snowboarders will enjoy the fun park with its halfpipe. But the happiest campers here will be the cross-country skiers: as you might expect from a winter holiday in Norway, there are endless cross-country trails surrounding the village. All of them are breathtaking, ranging from forests to frozen lakes, high plains and mountains.
