The ski area here is situated on the high plains of Paganella facing the prominent peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and overlooking the crystal clear lake of Molveno. The 3 interconnected ski resorts in this area (Fai della Paganella, Andalo and Molveno) have each maintained the flavour of Trentino's rich and generous mountain heritage. Those seeking alternative activities to skiing and snowboarding can go on a treking excursion in the famous Adamello Brenta natural park.
Although there are only 50km of official ski slopes on the map in this ski area, this number almost doubles when you include the skiing options through the trees where skiers and snowboarders are the "piste bashers". Nothing is out of bounds here, you can ski almost everywhere! Beginners have some fantastic nursery slopes in the resort but can also venture up to the mid station where they will appreciate the better snow conditions. There are some wonderful, long, red runs for intermediate cruisers to spend long days on. For the more advanced skiers there is some fabulous off-piste skiing and for those of you with "rubber knees", the mogul runs above Fai are lying in wait! There is the possibility to extend your lift pass to include the Madonna di Campiglio and Folgarida ski areas which can be reached by ski bus. The snowmaking system in this area is among the best in the Dolomites and covers about 80% of the ski slopes.
