The breathtakingly beautiful plateaus here means this area is also referred to as the ‘Trentino Plateaus’. Folgaria-Lavarone-Luzerna is also well-known because of the many fortresses that survived World War I in this area. That is what the name ‘Skitour dei Forti’ refers to: the many different fortresses that can be reached and visited on the slopes. In addition to these historical sites, the area is also praised for the quality of its facilities including its highly efficient lift system. Not forgetting, of course, the stunning views of the Trentino and Alto-Adige mountain ranges and peaks, which stretch right up to the Austrian border
The Ski Tour dei Forti area has recently been developed and it now offers 100 Km of slopes, 30 km in Lavarone and 70 km in Folgaria. It is also possible to ski only in one of the two areas. In this ski area the majority of the pistes are blue and red - great for beginners and intermediate skiers. Experts will have covered the 3km of black runs in a matter of minutes and will have to venture off piste for more thrills. There are 3 great snow parks here, making the Folgaria-Lavarone-Luzerna ski area particularly popular with young snowboarders. The ski pass for these areas is also associated with the Dolomiti Adamello Brenta Skirama. Cross-country skiers have the choice of three areas here too: Passo Coe, Forte Cherle and Millegrobbe, all just a few minutes away from the resort centres and linked by a ski bus and snow train service. Folgaria-Lavarone-Luzerna offers something for every type of snow sports fanatic and is a wonderful spot for relaxed ski holidays.
