Typical Italian ski resort
The Vals valley begins 5 km south of Ilanz Zerveila village and ends at the lower end of the lake Zerveila. Vals has a small but challenging and snowy ski area. On the south side of the village is a long chairlift to Gadastatt (at 1800 m). Here is a small practice area and a restaurant. Above Gadastatt are three lifts that go up to a height of 2941 meters. There are runs in all colors, the run home is black! From the highest point you can ski non-stop down to an altitude of 1800 meters!
