Ski resort Plose is located near Brixen, Bressanone in Italian, and the Brenner motorway, about the same distance from Bozen and the Austrian border. Just outside Brixen, a twisting mountain road leads to the valley station of the gondola in St Andrä at 1067 metres altitude. This takes you in no time to Kreuztal at 2050 metres, where you have access to over 40 km of slopes. Plose's slopes reach an altitude of 2505 metres, making them sufficiently snow-assured.
Plose: ski area near the Brenner motorway
Plose is located about 10 km from the Brenner motorway and 60 km from the Austrian border. To get there, you do have to cross Brixen first and then it's about 7 km uphill to St Andrä, Sant'Andrea in Monte in Italian. Despite that, this ski area is perfectly accessible. Once on the slopes, you will enjoy panoramic views of the UNESCO Dolomites from several points. Plose, together with Gitschberg-Jochtal a little further away, is part of the Dolomiti Superski, a gigantic ski region with 1,200 kilometres of pistes and 12 ski areas. If you opt for this ski pass, it will take you to all of them. The more than 40 piste kilometres are located on the flanks of the Plose and Monte Fana and offer something for everyone. Of all the runs, 19 km are blue, 9 km red and 13 km black.
