Ski area Aprica

Aprica in short

  • Height: 1162 - 2270 metres
  • Affordable
  • Sunny ski area
  • Suitable for families

Aprica & Corteno is a little-known Italian ski area located about an hour from the more popular Passo Tonale. AAprica is relatively small, but the ski area boasts lots of sunshine and excellent off-piste terrain where you’re virtually guaranteed to find fresh powder stashes (weather conditions permitting) all to yourself thanks to the lack of crowds. In total, the ski area has about 50 kilometres of pistes and 11 lifts. The slopes lie between 1200m and 2300m above sea level, with many long runs that run from the top of the ski area down into the valley.

The ski area is adjacent to the town of Aprica. Although Corteno is also located nearby, it’s not technically linked to the ski area. Thanks to its small scale and relatively affordable prices, the ski area is popular with families and beginner/intermediate skiers. There are many gentle slopes perfect for practising, although experts will also find a few steeper black pistes such as the Pistone. At each end of the town are a chairlift and a gondola, respectively, with the nursery slopes located more centrally.
