Located at an altitude of 1568 metres, Corvara is ideally situated in the Alta Badia ski area. When the first ski lift opened here in 1938, tourism took off quickly. Everyone who came here was captivated by the beauty of the Dolomites and then returned year after year. Corvara is the beating heart of Alta Badia and there is something to do here at any time of day. The place has a friendly feel and all the amenities you are looking for during a carefree winter holiday in the Dolomites.
Corvara has a wide range of accommodation, from luxury hotels to intimate guesthouses. When it comes to gastronomy, you can also expect the highest quality here. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and mountain huts where you can taste the true flavours of Italy. Corvara also boasts cosy après-ski and a modest nightlife. But what matters most are the winter sports facilities. You are right on the route of the Sellaronda here and above the village is a versatile slope offering with several Movimënt Parks. The other villages of Alta Badia, Colfosco, San Cassiano, La Villa and Badia are all accessible by ski.
