Roubion is a lovely little village in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region in the south of France. The village was built on the rockface and looks very Mediterranean. A ski resort was built at the bottom of the village giving access to the Roubion-les-Buisses ski area.
Roubion is situated at an altitude of 840 meters above sea level and has 125 inhabitants, many of whom simply own a second home in Roubion. Due to its special location Roubion is an attraction in itself, but it also has many monuments worth visiting. There is a church built in 1713 with a Romanesque bell tower and you will find the ruins of a castle from the 12th century. Furthermore, the town walls and gates from the 12th and 14th centuries, an ancient fountain and many chapels. Roubion is best known for its Roubion-les-Buisses ski area. A small ski area ideal for beginners and for family ski holidays.
