Fans of sunny, relaxed ski runs should turn off at Brides/Champagny at Moûtiers and drive on to Champagny en Vanoise. This small, delightful ski resort has a good ski area with 30 kilometres of slopes, at altitudes of up to 2500 metres. The traditional ski resort of Champagny en Vanoise has been linked to the La Plagne ski area since the early 1970s and now also has fast access via the Vanoise Express double-decker cable car link to Les Arcs.
There are five Airports within two hours drive of Champagny en Vanoise, with Chambery airport only a one hour drive away. The slopes of La Plagne which are easily accessible from Champagny en Vanoise are ideal for those who prefer more of a challenge. The 30 kilometres of cross-country trails in Champagny Le Haut are connected to a network of more than three times this length.
