Quiet, perfect for families
The ski area of Aillons-Margériaz is divided into 2 smaller areas: Margéria and Aillons. There are 40 km of slopes, spread over two mountains; the Mont Pelat and the Margeriaz. These 2 ski areas are not connecting but are only about a 10 minute drive apart. The area is perfect for families with good slopes for both beginners and experts.
Each area offers something for everyone. The Aillon area has 15 km of ski runs (three green, eight blue, four red and three black) and 34 km of cross-country skiing trails. The Aillon black runs are known to be particularly steep and challenging. The Aillon area is located between altitudes of 1000m and 1600m. The Margériaz area is slightly higher between 1400m and 1900m with 25 km of ski runs (five green, fourteen blue, three red and two black), a snowpark and a hiking trail. The Aillons-Margériaz ski area is not very well known so is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet.
