Lots of activities besides skiing
St. François-Longchamp is made up of a few small hamlets giving the area a charming, traditional feel. St-François-Longchamp is part of the Grand Massif ski area, a sizeable ski area shared with the more modern ski resort of Valmorel. St. François-Longchamp is popular with French families and has good facilities for children.
There is a handful of pleasant hotels in St. François-Longchamp, with the rest of the ski holiday accommodation in apartment blocks. St. François-Longchamp offers skiers a multifaceted package. This ski resort, made up of St. François-Longchamp 1450 and 1650, is connected to the high-altitude slopes on Le Cheval Noir, above the treeline. In general, the ski runs here are fairly manageable. In the Zone du Grand Coin, in the neighbouring village of Montaimont, you will find 35 kilometres of cross-country ski trails. Ski safaris are often organised for off-piste skiers and hang gliding, paragliding, dog sledding tours and snow shoeing are among the many other activities on offer here.
