Excellent infrastructure
Valmorel is an original winter sport arena, built in a unique style which certainly catches the eye. With the construction of a modern ski resort designed to satisfy even the most demanding needs of the modern skier, it is a model of successful mountain architecture and infrastructure.
With just over 150km of well maintained ski slopes, Valmorel offers good skiing for all levels. Beginners have their own dedicated area where they can get the hang of things without worrying about other skiers and snowboarders. The runs back down to the village are gentle and tree lined making for a pleasant last run of the day. Often underrated by more experienced skiers, Le Grand Domaine does actually offer some challenging black runs and some good off-piste trails, in particular in the Madeleine area.
