In June 2023, the decision was taken that the La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area would officially close. Skiing is no longer possible here.
Situated in the Bauges, the La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and the panoramic views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area is a small family-friendly ski area, near the village of Seythenex and only two hours drive from Geneva and Lyon.
La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area has a good mix of ski runs for all levels. Seven kilimeters of black runs to keep the experts happy, 8 kilometers of red runs for intermediate skiers, 4 kilometers of blue runs and 1 kilometer of green runs for the beginner skiers to get the hang of things. The La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area lies between altitudes of 1150 meters and 1830 meters above sea level and is served by 4 lifts, 3 drag lifts and 1 chairlift. Up on the slopes, there are three restaurants with more choice for the evening in the village. In the La Sambuy-Seythenex ski area you can also try snowshoeing and there is a toboggan run with a descent of 600 meters. The toboggan run is open both in summer and in winter.
