La Rosiere is the discovery of the decade! This hyper-modern, yet beautiful ski resort lies at an altitude of 1850 metres in the stunning and impressive Tarentaise mountain range, just near the Italian border. La Rosiere is linked to the ski area of La Thuile in Italy and together they make up the 152 km of wonderful ski slopes in the ski area of Espace San Bernardo.
The slopes in this ski area are mostly south facing, ensuring lots of pleasant sunny skiing during your ski holidays in La Rosière. However, regardless of the warm sunshine, due to its altitude at 1850 metres, La Rosiere has an excellent snow record. The ski slopes in the Espace San Bernardo ski area are generally wide and quite easy, interspersed with some challenging red and black runs for the more experienced skiers to get their teeth into. Advanced skiers will also find more challenging runs up on the slopes of La Thuile, over in Italy, which is covered by the area's ski pass. Here you can also have a go at heli skiing if you feel like a change! The children's facilities and ski schools are particularly good in the Espace San Bernardo - including four magic carpets - making this a great resort for family ski holidays. Among the 152km of pistes you'll also find 8 funslopes with a snow park, a big airbag, 2 Petit Saint Bernard funslopes, a Fort Boardercross, a Freeride des Zittieux area, a Petit Saint Bernard funcross and a baby park.
