La Grave in short
-
Height: 1450 metres
-
Only off-piste skiing
-
Only suitable for experienced (off-piste) skiers
-
Small village with not very many amenities
The ski area (at an altitude of 1500m-3560m) of La Grave is unique because it consists almost entirely of only off-piste descents! Coming to La Grave will no doubt be an unforgettable experience for advanced skiers but we do not recommend this resort for families and beginners. No other ski resort can challenge the ski areas of Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d'Huez like La Grave.
The 12th century village of La Grave has only a handful of hotels and not very many amenities. Many skiers who come here for a day stay at nearby ski resorts. Every experienced skier and off-piste enthusiasts must have been at least once to La Grave. Because of the good snow quality, La Grave is one of the most beautiful off-piste destinations in Europe. Not for the faint hearted!
