The 20 downhill ski runs in the Gerardmer ski area, including the longest in the Vosges, cover 40 kilometres in total and are just 2 kilometres from the centre. There is a free shuttle bus service between the ski resort centre and the slopes. One of the runs is flood lit at night and music fills the air while you take in the fairytale mountain atmosphere. The ski schools in Gerardmer also organise snow shoeing tours and hikers can enjoy some of the many stunning walking tour options too.
