The Savoie ski resort of Aussois lies at an altitude of 1500m on the edge of the Parc National de la Vanoise. The picturesque village has not changed through the years. The skiing area is situated among the woods on the high Vanoise peak and ranges from 1500m to 2750m. The Aussois ski area offers something for all snow enthusiasts, with over 50km of runs, cross-country skiing and ski excursions.
The ski resort has direct access to its 50km of downhill skiing, with 21 individual slopes, served by 11 ski lifts. With many slopes above 2000 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season. There are 104 snow cannons available to assure good coverage if snow falls are limited.
