Mount Norquay lies within the stunning Banff National Park, and a trip to this Canadian ski area isn't complete without visiting some of the beautiful nature. The first ski cabin dates back to 1927, when Swiss and Austrian mountain guides came to the region and established a local ski culture. Since then, Mount Norquay has only fallen more in love with winter, developing the ski area and hosting regular winter sports competitions. Today, it's still a small ski area but with very committed locals who are proud of their winter sports community. Mount Norquay is located just a 5 to 10 minutes' drive from the resort of Banff.
A family-friendly ski area, Mt. Norquay has about 28 runs for all levels, plus a great snow park with different grinds and jumps. Besides skiing and snowboarding, there are some lovely snowshoeing routes at Mount Norquay. The ski area also has a large snow tubing park where families can have endless fun. Each season the park is extended and improved. At the bottom of the Mount Norquay ski area, you will find the Cascade Lodge, the perfect spot for a nice meal at lunchtime or drinks and dinner after a long day on the slopes. Banff Mount Norquay is less than a 2-hour drive from Calgary International Airport and fairly easy to get to, with direct flights from the UK.
