Davos-Klosters comprises of six smaller linked ski areas that reach an altitude of 2844 metres above sea level, virtually guaranteeing snow-sure slopes all winter. Davos and Klosters each have their own unique vibe and lots to offer off the slopes. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know for a great ski holiday at Davos-Klosters.

Davos

Davos is a bustling ski town and rightfully one of the most famous in Switzerland. Its luxurious vibe and high-end wellness facilities make it popular with anyone who has the budget to afford a ski holiday here. After a long day of skiing there is plenty to do: wander through the town and window-shop in the boutiques, or take the kids to Madrisa Land, the largest amusement park in Switzerland. Of course, Davos is also known for its excellent après-ski scene, which is more international than the typical sing-alongs and Schlagers you find in Austria.

Klosters is the antithesis to the lively Davos. A quiet, charming village that has managed to preserve its historical charm, Klosters is a long-time favourite of the British royal family. Here you can enjoy a peaceful ski holiday surrounded by nature. After a day of skiing, you can choose from various activities. Check out the wellness facilities at Eau-Là-Là, or choose from a wealth of more strenuous activities such as tennis, ice climbing, paragliding or ice skating. If you're the partying type, you're better off staying in Davos.

6 ski areas

Davos-Klosters boasts six ski areas in total. Between the six of them you have 300 kilometres of pistes to explore, more than enough for a week of skiing or snowboarding.

Parsenn-Gotschna
With 115 kilometres of slopes, Parssen-Gotschna is the biggest ski area within Davos-Klosters. Quite apart from the stellar skiing, this is the place to head for a delicious lunch at one of the mountain restaurants.

Madrisa
Madrisa is an ideal ski area for families, thanks to its many child-friendly facilities. Let the little ones enjoy themselves on the bouncy castle, trampoline and carousel while you explore 50 kilometres of pistes. If you'd like to take a longer day trip, the kids are in safe hands at the Stutzi Kinderclub.

Pischa
Pischa will appeal to skiers and snowboarders looking for a relaxing day on the slopes. It's also known as one of the sunniest and biggest freeride areas in Switzerland, with numerous powder lines off the Pischabahn life making this an off-piste mecca.

Rinerhorn
Rinerhorn is located next to Davos and has a total of 42 kilometres of slopes, joined by 7 lifts. The runs here aren't too difficult, making it an attractive destination for families. Kids who want a challenge can try the funslope.

Schatzalp
The magical Schatzalp lies directly above Davos. This sunny ski area is known for its gentle slopes, which are easily reached from the town centre. Here you'll find just 15 kilometres of pistes, suitable for the whole family. We recommend the Restaurant Schatzalp for its terrace, which has spectacular views of the mountains.
