Lech Zürs am Arlberg is starting the 2018/19 ski season off with a fresh dump of powder. Much of eastern Austria including Carinthia and Salzburg received a healthy snowfall this week, reaching valley level and turning more than one alpine village into a winter wonderland. The Vorarlberg and Tyrol also received several centimetres of snow. Temperatures at Lech are expected to hover around 0° C throughout the weekend, with more flurries possibly on the way.
