La Plagne opens today © Paradiski

Today marks the opening of La Plagne, one of France’s most popular ski resorts. Along with Les Arcs, La Plagne forms part of the Paradiski area, the most-visited ski area in the world. Paradiski offers a diverse range of skiing for all levels on 425km of slopes and 3 glaciers. The ski area tends to enjoy excellent snow conditions, and this year is no exception! Having just received a dump of fresh snow, La Plagne is ready to start off the ski season with a bang. If you’re there this weekend, check out the final few days of the European IBSF Bob & Skeleton Cup, held on the former Olympic bobsleigh track.

About Danielle

Born and raised in the ski paradise of Vancouver, Canada, I learned to ski before I can remember, balancing precariously on my parents’ skis as they sailed down the hill. I started snowboarding in my teens and am now delighted to be exploring everything Europe’s ski scene has to offer!
