This historic market town is only 9 kilometers from Tauplitz. Bad Mitterndorf (Bad meaning bath) is a spa town and it therfore has extensive spa facilities in addition to a public swimming pool, a skating rink and several tennis and squash courts. This peaceful place exudes tranquility and thus attracts an older, more relaxed crowd. This authentic and beautiful Austrian village falls under the slopes of the Tauplitz.

The road up to Tauplitzalm is a toll road, which is quite expensive. If you come by ski bus it's a lot cheaper. For both winter sports, squash and connoisseurs of the wellness possibilities on offer, Bad Mitterndorf has plenty to offer.
