Strobl is located on the eastern shore of the lake Abersee. From the late Middle Ages to the 17th century Strobl was a center of pilgrims and traders. When the nearby town of Bad Ischgl started to attract more and more people, Strobl also became increasingly important. Strobl is now a well-known holiday resort, which is fully adapted to the needs of modern man offering holidays rich in culture and traditions. Because of its location on the lake, there is plenty to do here both in winter and summer.
