  • Height: 1793 - 3082 metres
  • Extremely snow-sure ski area
  • Advanced skiers enjoy themselves best on the Hohe Mut
  • Modern, fast lifts

The Gurgl ski resort is located at the end of Ötztal and is known for its good snow conditions. Gurgl's nickname is 'the Diamond of the Alps' and for good reason. The modern ski resort excels with modern lifts, a versatile slope offer and accommodation on the slopes. Because the slopes are located on a north-facing slope and the ski area lies between 1800 metres and 3080 metres, you can ski here from late November to May. With more than 110 kilometres of slopes, every type of skier can have fun here. Obergurgl and Hochgurgl each have their own ski mountain, connected by the Top-Express gondola.

Gurgl: modern, quiet and snow-sure

There are rarely queues at the more than 20 lifts in Gurgl's ski resort. Actually, every type of skier will find their favourite colour in the area. Half of the pistes are red, but there is also plenty to do for beginners and (advanced) skiers. The Hohe Mut is a real leg-trainer for cracks. If beginner skiers can conquer piste No. 6, the rest of the area's blue slopes are probably no longer a problem. Above Hochgurgl are the most basic slopes, as well as a toboggan run and the Top-Mountain-Star restaurant. This restaurant is located at the summit of the Wurmkogl (3082 m) and the view here reaches all the way to the Dolomites. From this point, an 8-kilometre downhill run starts all the way to the valley. Obergurgl has a snowpark on the Festkogel (3038 m) and the challenging descents of the Hohe Mut (2670 m). Ski area Gurgl also has high-altitude trails, winter hiking trails and tour skiing possibilities. Skiing somewhere else for a day? With a multi-day ski pass (from 3 days) you also have access to the slopes of Sölden.
