Axamer Lizum: versatile ski resort near Innsbruck
Axamer Lizum is just over a 20-minute drive from the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck, and about 8 minutes from the town of Axams. The ski area boasts over 40 km of slopes and is known as 'the white roof'. Thanks to its location between 1560 and 2340 metres altitude and an excellent artificial snow system, Axamer Lizum is very snow-sure, and you benefit from perfect slopes here throughout the season. The ski area offers something for everyone, whether you are a skier or snowboarder, beginner, advanced or expert. The runs are wonderfully broad and mainly red, with a few blue ones in between. For advanced skiers, the black number 10 from the Birgitzköpfelhaus is a tip.
