Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck in short

  • Height: 817 - 2340 metres
  • Access to 9 ski areas!
  • Glacier skiing
  • Excellent facilities for snowboarders

The Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck is made up of 9 ski areas surrounding the lively city of Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol. A ski holiday in Innsbruck itself is something truly special. Don't expect a small, quiet ski resort - it goes without saying that there is much more to do here than in your average ski resort. The skiing in the Olympic Skiworld Innsbruck ski area is no exception! Shuttle bus services from the centre of Innsbruck provide transport to all of the 9 neighbouring ski areas meaning that all winter sports fans, from beginners to the most expert and from skiers to snowboarders, have a huge range of options in the Olympic Skiworld Innsbruck ski area. It's also possible to stay in ski-in, ski-out accommodation at certain resorts, such as Kühtai.

Many of the resorts in the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck are small, family-friendly resorts perfect for a relaxing ski holiday. Over 300km of slopes in total, including the largest glacier ski area in Austria, world-class snow parks, modern lifts and more than 100km of groomed cross-country trails: this is the Olympia SkiWorld Innsbruck! All of this is set against the magnificent juxtaposition of the city and the mountains, a truly special landscape you won't soon forget. Skiing highlights include the World Cup and Olympic downhill runs on the Patscherkofel (2250m) near Igls, as well as the famous Hafelekar freeride descent on the Nordkette. With a 70% incline, the Hafelekar is one of the steepest routes in Europe and every serious freerider staying in Innsbruck has to try it at least once. Enjoy the views of tiny Innsbruck city far below but caution, the Hafelekar is for experts only! Here you'll also find a large snow park, also with great views of Innsbruck city. No wonder many winter sports athletes choose to move to Innsbruck!
