At the foot of the highest mountain in Austria, lies the idyllic village of Kals am Grossglockner. This place is a meeting point for touring skiers who often begin their trips here. Although Kals am Großglockner a small ski resort, it offers all the facilities required including a supermarket, restaurants, bars and a bank.
From Kals you can take a chair lift up to 2000 meters, where you have a beautiful view of the Grossglockner and the other peaks in the area. Since 2008, the ski resort of Kals is also a connection with that of Matrei, creating a beautiful and varied ski area offering ski slopes for all levels.
