Ski areas Lower Austria

Lower Austria is located in the north-east of Austria and borders the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In the east, surrounded by its state, lies the country's capital Vienna. In Lower Austria, you can choose from 20 ski resorts with over 200 km of slopes.

The ski resorts in Lower Austria are not large, but they are enjoyable, cosy, and super family-friendly. Whether you choose Semmering, Mönichkirchen am Wechsel, Annaberg, or Hochkar: there is no shortage of facilities for children. The big crowds haven't settled here yet, so it's generally nice and quiet on the slopes. Even during school holidays! A popular ski resort is Lackenhof in Mostviertel, which boasts over 50 km of slopes. Another great winter sports destination is Ötscherland, where next to skiing, you can also go on beautiful hiking and cross-country skiing trips.
