The name of the village Hart is derived from Old High German and means "thinned by forest exploitation". The four villages Holdernach, Helfenstein, Haselbach and Kohlstatt have 1150 inhabitants. Hart is on the sunny side of the Zillertal. Ski Hochfügen-Hochzillertal and Spieljoch and are easy to reach with the free ski bus. Here you will find 166 kilometers of slopes and guaranteed snow from November to April.
