Skiing in Dachstein West and Dachstein Krippenstein
There are two ski resorts within easy reach of Bad Goisern. From Obertraun, which is 17 km away, you can reach the Dachstein Krippenstein ski area. At the edge of the village, a cable car will take you to this freeride paradise that boasts 30 km of freeride variants, 2 children's areas and 12 km of groomed slopes. Its highlight is the 11 km long valley run, the longest in Austria. Your other option is to drive about 17 km to Gossau. From there, you can access more than 50 piste kilometres of the Dachstein West ski area.
